When disaster or crisis strikes, we help owners evacuate and safely transport their animals. We coordinate emergency animal evacuation support for individuals and families who need assistance during declared emergencies and crisis situations.

Apache - "The Spicy One!"

Apache is the reason Minis Making Memories exists today. Her ability to touch people’s hearts, lift spirits, and bring joy to everyday moments became the foundation of the organization. She showed us how powerful a tiny horse with a big personality could be, and we built Minis Making Memories to carry her legacy forward.

Apache, lovingly known as The Spicy One, came from a difficult hoarding situation, but she refused to let her past define her. With her fiery spirit, endless zoomies, and zest for life, Apache quickly became a bright spark in every room — or store aisle — she entered. She inspired smiles, laughter, and connection everywhere she went, from casual encounters in public to heartfelt visits in assisted living and hospice centers.

She adored her shopping adventures — Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, you name it. What girl doesn’t love a good shopping trip and a Friday night meal out? Apache lived life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a whole lot of spice, and she made sure everyone around her felt that same spark.

We will continue what Apache started, honoring her memory by spreading joy, comfort, and connection — just like she did so effortlessly.

January 17, 2025, was a magical day—it was the day Theodore (aka Theo!) found his way to his loving forever home! Saved by Healing Hearts Rescue in Arizona, Theo’s journey began with a whole lot of hope after being rescued from a kill pen in Texas.

Today, Theo is thriving and living his absolute best life. He radiates so much happiness that he almost always sports a giant, adorable grin—yes, a big, toothy smile that brightens up any room! Theo’s vibrant personality is truly one of a kind and something you just have to experience in person to believe.

He loves going on shopping trips, splashing around at his favorite lake, and spreading sunshine wherever he goes through his therapy visits—making everyone’s day so much brighter. Though he comes in a tiny package, Theo has a huge heart and a wonderful passion for entertaining people. Brilliant and delightfully inquisitive, he’s always happily busy on a new adventure, keeping everyone smiling, laughing, and constantly inspired!

Secret's gotcha day was February 4, 2024, and she's been winning hearts ever since. This little redhead has a way of touching everyone's life she comes in contact with. Full of personality, charm, and a little bit of mischief, Secret keeps life interesting wherever she goes.

Just like Apache, she's got plenty of opinions and isn't afraid to share them! Maybe it's the red hair, but this girl is definitely spicy, sassy, and full of confidence. Whether she's stealing hearts or stealing the spotlight, Secret always makes sure she's the center of attention—and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Small in size, big in personality, and overflowing with love—Secret truly is the perfect "Secret Sauce."

Charlie the Belgian's gotcha day was June 18, 2022, and life hasn't been the same since. Coming from an Amish background, Charlie arrived with very little personality—but that didn't last long! Today, he is a larger-than-life character with opinions on just about everything and a heart as big as he is.

Weighing in at nearly 2,000 pounds, Charlie believes he's actually a miniature therapy horse. In fact, he still can't understand why he isn't allowed to ride in the van with the minis. Charlie identifies as being about 1,800 pounds lighter than reality suggests and does his best to help the mini horses do what they do best—make people's days a whole lot brighter.

Charlie attends all kinds of events and functions wherever he'll fit (and that's always the challenge!). From pulling his own wagon in parades to participating in rodeo grand entries, Charlie loves being part of the action and he even helps Secret and Theo with therapy visits. Everywhere he goes, he turns heads, starts conversations, and leaves people smiling.

His favorite activities include lake trips, meeting new friends, eating absolutely anything he can, and, most importantly, collecting peppermints whenever possible. Charlie is a happy-go-lucky goofball who keeps everyone laughing with his hilarious antics and endless curiosity.

Though he's massive in size, Charlie's greatest feature is his enormous heart. He has a special way of connecting with people, proving every day that the biggest hearts really do come in the biggest packages.

Charlie isn't just larger than life—he's larger than most things. And with his goofy personality, giant presence, and sweet spirit, he's impossible not to love.
